Harry Potter Parody trailer shows a lighter side of Half-Blood Prince
You have to admit that not all parodies work as well as others, either because the music really doesn’t work for the feel that you want, or some clips don’t flow as well. Sometimes it takes a good amount of time and work to create a decent parody when it comes to changing the feel from what it originally was.
It seems that Thewlis Rox was able to do a make a clip parody that gives the feel of a more lighthearted teen flick than the original darker tone from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. And he did so using the song “Big Beat Repeat” by Josh Powell, which is actually in the CD version of the soundtrack of said film.
Although this is actually several years old, it’s still fairly cool to watch, even if you’ve seen it before. Also, since it’s Ron Weasley’s birthday today, this video really highlights a couple of Ron’s big highs (first game and win as keeper for Gryffindor’s quidditch team) and scary lows (influenced by a love potion, then almost getting killed by poisoned mead.)
