HBO announced the premiere dates for its spring line-up, including the highly anticipated Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere!
With plenty of cliffhangers and questions and no book to refer to for Season 6, particularly regarding Jon Snow, fans have been desperate for the show’s return. Well, now we have the date we’ve all been waiting for:
April 24, 2016
So far, the network has been notoriously tight-lipped about what fans can expect in the next season, the first that doesn’t follow the books, as George R.R. Martin has yet to release the sixth novel, The Winds of Winter. The author has previously stated that fans shouldn’t expect the book until at least 2017.
Alleged “plot leaks” have found their way on to the internet, of course, but there’s no confirmation that the rumors carry any weight. Filming has given so obvious hints at what could happen, yet there’s still plenty of opportunity for twists and turns. We’ll find out for sure come April!
