nerd-i-verse

Ariel Birdoff is a great friend of this site and notable voice in the Harry Potter and Hunger Games fandoms, having headlined a Wizard Rock band (Madam Pince and the Librarians) and appearing as a frequent panelist on the Hunger Games Fireside Chat. She also maintains the excellent blog Nerdy, Wordy, and Over Thirty.

She’s also an extremely talented poet and writer, and she’s put out a call for help to make her poetry dream a reality. Her collection, called “NERD!VERSE” just needs a little assistance. As she describes it:

Hello, there! My name is Ariel and I am a nerd. No, this is not a confession. Anyone who knows/has seen me on the Internet knows that I am very proud of my nerdiness. I even blog, tweet, tumbl, and sing regularly about just how much of a nerd I am. What you may not know, is that in addition to writing blogs, songs, and tweets, I am also a poet. In my upcoming short chapbook called NERD!VERSE, I endeavor to combine my love for verse with my love for all things nerdy.

Here are some nerdy topics I address in NERD!VERSE:

Reading
Writing
Classic literature
Fandoms (Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Doctor Who, and more!)

Because I will be printing this book, instead of publishing it, I am trying to raise at least $600 dollars to pay for both printing and shipping costs. To help convince you to assist me monetarily, I have listed some fun perks over here.

If you cannot contribute, please share my campaign with your friends! Every little bit helps!

If you’re able, head on over to her indiegogo campaign and give her a hand!
