Isabelle Fuhrman to star as lead in ‘Suspiria’

Isabelle Fuhrman has landed herself another leading role!  She will be heading up the cast in the upcoming remake of Dario Argento’s horror classic Suspiria (if you like horror films this one is a must see, beautifully done).  I’m really looking forward to this one! Variety reports that Isabelle Fuhrman, who parlayed her starring turn in Orphan into a key supporting role in The Hunger Games,has landed the lead in David Gordon Green’s retelling of the classic Dario Argento film.

The original 1977 horror flick followed followed Suzie, a young girl who travels to Europe to attend a world-renowned school, only to learn that the academy is a front for a coven of witches. Green is directing from a script he co-wrote with Chris Gebert. Crime Scene Pictures principals Adam Ripp and Rob Paris are producing with Francesco Melzi d’Eril of Memo Films and I Am Lovehelmer Luca Guadagnino of First Sun.
