iZOMBIE at SDCC: Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright Interviews

iZOMBIE creators share Season 3 details at San Diego Comic-Con International!

Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright, the co-creators behind iZombie, graciously stopped to chat with The Fandom and other members of the press at San Diego Comic-Con! The show, based on the comic of the same name from DC’s Vertigo imprint, follows the ultra-quirky adventures of an incognito zombie named Liv who takes a job at the county morgue and helps the local police department solve murders by eating victim’s brains and relaying the memories held within. However, there’s an awkward side effect– As Liv eats the brains, she also inherits the owner’s personality traits.

Showrunner Rob Thomas dove straight into the new baddies for Season 3, the inevitable war between humans and zombies as the zombie secret begins to “spring leaks,” and the joy of creating many side effect-ridden cures for the show, among other things.

On a lengthier interview, Diane Ruggiero-Wright chimed in on working with Rob Thomas, the major joke people may have missed in the “Rob Thomas” episode, Liv and Major’s hilarious team-up episode in Season 3, and more!
