J.K. Rowling, Eddie Redmayne to attend special charity screening of FANTASTIC BEASTS!
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is holding a special advanced screening for a good cause this fall featuring creator J.K. Rowling, director David Yates, and the Wizarding World’s newest stars!
The event, which will be held in New York City’s Carnegie Hall on November 12, 2016– six days before the film’s wide release– will benefit Rowling’s charity called the Lumos Foundation, which works with local and government organizations around the world to provide health and social care to children in orphanages and institutions in hopes of helping them regain family life.
Introduced by David Yates and unspecified cast members, Rowling will first be “in conversation” with Fantastic Beasts star Eddie Redmayne. Their chat will be followed by a screening of the film for the many fans in attendance.
Tickets for the event are priced quite reasonably, ranging between $25-$500. They’re currently available for purchase via the Carnegie Hall website.
The event press release also confirms that the New York premiere of Fantastic Beasts will happen earlier that week and the London premiere will occur sometime on the week of the 14th.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theaters on November 18, 2016.
