The news broke recently that Johnny Depp had been cast as the infamous dark wizard, Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. His part has been described as quite small in the first movie, but he will play a much bigger part in the movies to come.

Author, J.K. Rowling spoke with MTV on Depp getting into character and compares him to Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander).

“Watching him create a character is fascinating. It’s been quite inspiring to me as the writer. I feel he’s got quite an interesting approach to creating a character. It’s a privilege to work with someone like that. It’s very similar to the way Eddie [Redmayne] works and moves around and inhabits the character [of Newt]. The physicality is exactly right.”

See Johnny Depp when Fantastic Beasts hits theaters tomorrow!
