J.K. Rowling Shares a Sneak Peek at HARRY POTTER Exhibit

J.K. Rowling has given fans a sneak peek at the British Library’s HARRY POTTER EXHIBITION!

It was announced recently that there would be a Harry Potter exhibition coming to the British Library to celebrate the twenty year anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. J.K. Rowling has shared a sneak peek from the exhibit, which opens on October 20th. Check it out below:

Any guesses as to what this is? It’s (the real!) Nicholas Flamel’s headstone, which is usually on display at the Parisian Musée de Cluny, but is currently being used by the British Library for the exhibition. Although Flamel is depicted as an alchemist in many works of fiction, in real life he was a French scribe and manuscript seller. He supposedly passed away in 1418, but Rowling’s character doesn’t meet his end until the Philosopher’s Stone is detroyed in 1992.

The character of Nicholas Flamel was also recently cast for the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel. Brontis Jodorowsky will be playing the semi-immortal character. Rowling’s sharing of this tombstone could be a sign that his role in the sequel may be bigger than we thought. Only time will tell.

The Harry Potter: A History of Magic exhibit at the British Library opens on October 20th, 2017.
