J.K. Rowling, Universal Mourn Death Of Wizarding World of HARRY POTTER Employee

J.K Rowling “can’t stop crying” after Wizarding World of HARRY POTTER team member’s death in Orlando mass shooting.

The tragic mass shooting in Orlando affected the lives of many and devastated us all. At this time, 50 lives have been confirmed lost and another 53 are injured. Among those killed was 22-year-old Luis Vielma, who worked as a Gryffindor student in the “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey” ride at Universal Orlando. When the news was announced, J.K. Rowling took to Twitter to share her grief.

Universal Orlando also released a short statement.

Rowling was flooded with a slew of response from people who were touched by Luis’ presence in the park and in their lives in a great tribute to the young man.


Victoria Bidorini, another employee working at the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride, told Rowling that another employee named Tony was also injured and is the ICU.
