James Newton Howard Back to Score ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’

According to Film Music Reporter James Newton Howard has confirmed that he will be returning to compose the score for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

James Newton Howard has confirmed in a recent interview with Filmmusicsite.com, Underscores.fr and BSO Spirit (available to listen here) at last weekend’s Ghent Film Festival that he is attached to score the upcoming The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire. The composer has scored this year’s first part in the series and has also written the music for the sequel’s director Francis Lawrence’s previous two features I Am Legend and Water for Elephants.

Personally, I’m extremely happy to hear this news.  I think the score for The Hunger Games was unbelievably amazing so I feel certain the one for the sequel will not disappoint.  How do you feel about this?  Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below!
