Newcomer actor Jan Luis Castellanos has been cast to play fan-favorite Topher in season 2 of Hulu’s Marvel series RUNAWAYS.

Jan Luis Castellanos will be joining the cast of the Hulu/Marvel series Runaways for its second season, and he’ll be playing Topher. For those who know the comics, you probably already know Topher as the character who befriends the Runaways when they encounter him robbing a convenience store with his ‘parents,’ whom he claimed had forced him into doing it. He first appeared in Runaways #7, and then last appeared in Runaways #10.

It hasn’t been disclosed as to if the series will follow the comics in regards to Topher’s presence and for how long he’ll be around, but if all goes well, we may see him more than in the comics.

“I’m super grateful to be joining the Marvel/Hulu/Runaways family,” shared Jan Luis Castellanos to Marvel.com. “It has been a dream come true. Topher is a tough and complicated kid, and it was very exciting to bring him to life. I can’t wait for you all to meet him!”

This will be Castellanos’ first role in a production outside of campaigns and commercials, so we understand his enthusiasm. It was enough for him to create a Twitter account.
