Jason Isaacs returns to TV to take on the role of Captain in the upcoming CBS All Access series, STAR TREK: DISCOVERY.

Anyone who’s a Harry Potter fan should know who Jason Isaacs is. If you need your memory refreshed, he played Draco Malfoy’s father, a decidedly racist pure-blood wizard by the name of Lucius.

But even if you haven’t seen the Potter movies (which is a rarity,) you would probably recognize him from several movies or TV shows, including The Patriot, the 2003 version of Peter Pan, Showtime’s Brotherhood, Netflix’s The OA, the recently released A Cure for Wellness, and he was the voice of Commander Zhao for Nickelodeon’s The Last Avatar cartoon series. Needless to say, he’s an amazing versatile veteran actor.

Now he’ll be adding Star Trek to his list of credits as the sixth TV captain of a Starship in Star Trek: Discovery. He’ll be joining Sonequa Martin-Green (in the lead role of Lt. Cmdr. Rainsford), Doug Jones (Lt. Saru), Anthony Rapp (Lt. Stamets), Maulik Pancholy (Dr. Nambue), Terry Serpico (Admiral Anderson), Sam Vartholomeos (Ensign Connor), and Michelle Yeoh (Captain Georgiou).

Star Trek: Discovery is projected to premiere sometime late summer or early fall on CBS All Access.
