Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins talk SUPERNATURAL’s Scariest

SUPERNATURAL’S Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins reveal the show’s scariest episodes for them.

You might think that Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins don’t find anything scary about their long-running show Supernatural, but they do reveal that there were a few that gave them the creeps. But alas, there are still a few episodes that make them uncomfortable, to put it mildly.

For Misha, who is “really fragile,” had to pace himself with catching up with the series (he joined the cast in the show’s fifth season), and admitted to having nightmares. He doesn’t mention any specific episode, however, he does say that the very beginning of the series “had some really scary stuff.”

Jared recalls the episode “Children Shouldn’t Play with Dead Things,” the fourth episode of the second season as one that was disturbing for him to the non-obvious villain factor. The same went for the show’s sixth episode, “Skin,” in which a shapeshifter took Dean’s form. So it seems trying to find out whose the bad guy, especially when it’s someone that’s supposed to be the good guy, “for whatever reason that scares Jared.”

Jensen didn’t take any time at all in calling out “The Benders,” another of the show’s season one episodes, in which the bad guys were actually just regular humans, which for a show all about the paranormal, was the creepy factor for Ackles. Well, that and dolls, a common phobia for many of us, which was the baddie in the eleventh episode of season two, “Playthings,” which was made even more creepy by the fact that vintage/antique dolls were used. “It’s not like it creeps me out…no, it does. It creeps me out. Full on,” admits Jensen.

Jensen’s wife, actress Daneel Harris, uses the doll phobia to her advantage as she bought one to occasionally scare Jensen with, placing it in different places in the house. What an awesome wife.

Supernatural airs Thursdays at 8pm on the CW.
