Jensen and Danneel Ackles “Share” Their Birthdays for Children in Need– How You Can Help

The Ackles both have birthdays this month and are asking fans to help them celebrate by donating to charity.

March has already been a busy month for Supernatural stars Jensen and Danneel Ackles. They kicked it off by having the weekend of a lifetime down in New Orleans for Mardi Gras, where Jensen was crowned King of Bacchus. The Ackles–being the selfless, incredible people they are–want to keep the good times rolling, but this time, for children in need.

Jensen and Danneel took to Instagram to spread their mission for The Birthday Party Project. The organization hosts “monthly birthday parties at homeless and transitional living facilities across the [United States].” Each month, The Birthday Party Project “celebrates all children (ages 1-21) that have a birthday that month, and…invite all children and family members staying at the agency to join…the party.” The big bashes are not only to celebrate the kids’ birthdays, but the kids, themselves. The charity wants to make sure the children know they matter.

You can honor The Ackles and make some children’s dreams come true in a few ways:

  1. Donate through The Ackles’ personal fundraiser, or directly to the cause. Monetary donations can be used toward various needs, like gifts and decorations.
  2. Share your birthday, too! Make your special day a fundraising campaign to raise money for the charity, or ask for presents for the children, instead of gifts for yourself.
  3. Volunteer. Help decorate or hand out cake to the kids at a Birthday Party Project bash near you!
  4. Spread the word. Use social media and word of mouth to share the mission of The Birthday Party Project with you friends, family, and followers!
