John Green is giving fans the very first hints about his upcoming novel!
During the Reddit AMA in which John Green announced his new role as producer for an AFC Wimbledon movie in the works and a SnapChat Q&A video, the author behind Looking for Alaska and The Fault In Our Stars gave only the vaguest hints about what’s to come, but still, it’s better than nothing for the massive fans of his writing!
In the Snapchat video, featured below, John says that the book “concerns the White River,” which may suggest that at least part of the story is located in Vermont. He also may name a character Avery after a fan asks him to throw the name in. “Actually, I kinda like that name, so maybe,” he said after initially refusing.
Green doesn’t know exactly when the book will be released, but he knows it won’t be in 2016.
In his Reddit AMA, Green also talked about his writing process:
“Most of my life as an author is spent in my basement, alone, writing in pretty much total sensory seclusion from the real world. (Like, the lights are off; I don’t listen to music; I get angry when there is sound in the house; etc. I am kind of horrible to be around when I’m writing, now that I think about it).”
