John Green’s PAPER TOWNS To Be Filmed In North Carolina

Filming for the adaptation of John Green’s PAPER TOWNS starring Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne will be taking place in North Carolina, according to the author.

The book is set in Green’s childhood hometown of Orlando, Florida, but will be filmed in North Carolina (where his parents coincidentally live nowadays) because the state offers better tax incentives. The story, however, will still “take place” in Florida. This is similar to the studio’s past decision to make THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, which was based in Indianapolis, Indiana, in Pittsburgh, PA.

In the meantime, Green will be closer to his current home state of Indiana and he’s not the only one who’s happy with the choice. “My parents are psyched,” he revealed.
