Chicago P.D. star Josh Segarra has been cast as a series regular for Arrow’s 5th season in a vigilante role.

Josh Segarra, both a stage and screen actor, as signed on as a series regular for the fifth season of The CW’s Arrow.  He will be playing Star City’s new district attorney Adrian Chase who plans to help clean up the streets through the legal system.

If you recall from this past season’s Arrow finale, Oliver Queen was sweared in to take over as Star City’s Mayor after the previous (evil) Mayor was killed, along with the “inspirational” speech that Oliver gave in the midst of chaos. This is where Adrian Chase will ally with Oliver, but will he ally with the Green Arrow as The Vigilante?. 

Adrian Chase and his alter ego the Vigilante first appeared in the 1983 New Teen Titans Annual #2. A New York City district attorney whose family was killed by mobsters, Chase sought justice in his own way. In the comics, Chase has strong ties to Deathstroke, who was a major character on Arrow. 

Segarra’s latest credits were recurring roles on Chicago P.D. and Sirens, and a role in the movie Trainwreck.  His stage work includes the Broadway musical “On Your Feet!” in which he plays the role of Gloria Estefan’s husband, Emilio Estefan, a role that he’s currently playing.
