Deadpool has a new teenage companion coming to the sequel!
Wade Wilson aka Deadpool is a friendly guy, so long as you don’t give him a reason to kill you. He’s befriended the elderly, like Blind Al, but in the sequel, we’ll see how he handles dealing with teenagers.
Julian Dennison, the 14-year-old New Zealand-born actor best known for his role in the critically-acclaimed film Hunt for the Wilderpeople, has joined the cast in a mystery role. In cool-as-can-be style, star Ryan Reynolds made the major casting announcement via his Instagram. He jokingly refers to the actor as “#RickyBakerPool” after his smartass but beloved character from Wilderpeople.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople director Taika Waititi— who also directed the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok for Marvel– dropped a funny reaction to the news on Twitter.

Dennison could be playing a random, original character or perhaps a lesser known character from the X-Men line-up, but we don’t think he’ll have any trouble bringing a smartass edge to the movie.
Deadpool 2 just started filming on Monday and is due out in theaters sometime in 2018.
