Nip/Tuck star Julian McMahon had been added to the cast of the upcoming Hulu series, Marvel’s RUNAWAYS.
Julian McMahon (FX’s Nip/Tuck) has signed on to play a pivotal role in the series, Marvel’s Runaways, which is about a group of teens who find out that their parents are villains. McMahon’s character in the Hulu series is Jonah, but that’s all that Hulu or Marvel disclosed at this time. At this time, there’s no indication on if Jonah is for or against the teens and their rebellion.
“We’re incredibly excited to add Julian to our exceptional cast and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the world of Marvel’s ‘Runaways,’” said executive producers and showrunners Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage.
McMahon’s recent credits include Syfy’s Hunters and BBC America’s Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency. He also had done a stint with another Marvel movie adaptation, which was as Victor Von Doom, aka Doctor Doom, in the 2005 version of Fantastic Four and 2007’s Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Unfortunately, even with the sequel, that franchise was not quite as profitable as Twentieth Century Fox would have liked.
Hopefully, Julian McMahon’s second time around with Marvel will be better. We certainly want it to be!
The new Hulu series Marvel’s Runaways does not have an official release date yet.
