Prepare for more heart and laughs from the world of DUMPLIN’!

Julie Murphy‘s Dumplin‘ became a beacon of body positivity and confidence in YA literature when it was released in 2015. The movie adaptation starring Danielle MacDonald, Jennifer Aniston, and Odeya Rush is due to start filming in just a few days. But there are still more stories to tell in Willowdean Dickson’s Texas town!

Earlier this week, Murphy took to Twitter with a graphic announcing a companion novel called Puddin’!

The author explained that the story follows two minor characters from Dumplin’ as they go unravel their own tale, directly affected by the events of the first book. We’ve not sure which two characters will be narrating, but we’ll be seeing Willowdean again!

Puddin’ is due out in Spring 2018, but an exact release date has not been announced.
