Kate Hudson to replace Rebel Wilson in Kung Fu Panda 3
In a previous post, we announced that Rebel Wilson was going to voice the first female panda lead for Kung Fu Panda 3. However, due to an extended filming scheduled, Ms. Wilson has had to bow out of the movie as it conflicts with her own schedule. However, it’s been announced that Kate Hudson has stepped in.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that actress Kate Hudson will now voice Mei Mei, the ribbon dancing female panda who’s madly infatuated with our Dragon Warrior, Po. Hudson will join J.K. Simmons and Bryan Cranston voicing the new characters in the film.
Some of the already completed scenes will be re-done to match with Hudson’s interpretation of the character.
When Po’s long-lost panda father suddenly reappears, the reunited duo travels to a secret panda paradise to meet scores of hilarious new panda characters. But when the supernatural villain Kai begins to sweep across China defeating all the kung fu masters, Po must do the impossible-learn to train a village full of his fun-loving, clumsy brethren to become the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas.
