When Kevin Smith directed one of The Flash Season 2’s most poignant episodes, “The Runaway Dinosaur,” what we didn’t realize is that he was pulling double duty!

Smith also hosts AMC nerd culture show Geeking Out and episode 5 of the show focused in on The Flash. Check out this clip from the episode, which shows the director giving a bit of a studio tour, explaining The Flash stunt known on set as “zooping,” and chatting with Grant Gustin (Barry Allen) and Candice Patton (Iris West) about their season two experience.

The banter between Grant and Candice is priceless! “See those reflexes? I got you, girl!”

We’re less than a month away from The Flash Season 3, which shows Barry’s world flipped upside down in a set of circumstances known as The Flashpoint Paradox. Kevin Smith is returning to direct sometime this season, though the exact episode is not yet known.

The show returns to The CW on Tuesday, October 3, 2016.
