Cassandra Clare reveals the new placeholder cover for LADY MIDNIGHT as pre-order opportunities begin!
LADY MIDNIGHT, the first book in Cassandra Clare’s THE DARK ARTIFICES series, isn’t coming until March 8, 2016. But don’t fret! You can pre-order the highly anticipated novel a full ten months in advance!
The new placeholder cover and official synopsis for the book, which will follow Shadowhunter parabatai Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorn as they look to unravel the conspiracy that led to the murder of Emma’s parents years earlier, are available now. While placeholder covers don’t fully reflect the final cover, the placeholder image has historically been used as the background of the final design for Cassandra Clare’s previous Shadowhunter series.
Official Synopsis:
It’s been five years since the events of City of Heavenly Fire that brought the Shadowhunters to the brink of oblivion. Emma Carstairs is no longer a child in mourning, but a young woman bent on discovering what killed her parents and avenging her losses.
Together with her parabatai Julian Blackthorn, Emma must learn to trust her head and her heart as she investigates a demonic plot that stretches across Los Angeles, from the Sunset Strip to the enchanted sea that pounds the beaches of Santa Monica. If only her heart didn’t lead her in treacherous directions…
Glitz, glamours, and Shadowhunters abound in this heartrending opening to Cassandra Clare’s Dark Artifices series.
