Lana Condor Talks Representation and Starring In TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE

Lana Condor is talking about starring on her first rom com and representing Asian-Americans onscreen!

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before has been getting tons of buzz since its Netflix release on Friday, and much of that love is for the movie’s star, Lana Condor. Now, Condor is talking about the joys for being Lara Jean in a new digital exclusive!

In the vignette, Lana talks about wanting to expand her career by being in a romantic comedy and how unlikely that felt given the state of Hollywood. Thankfully, shortly after the idea crossed her mind, so did the script for To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. Condor was surprised and thrilled to see that this film wasn’t just open to auditioning actresses of any race (a rarity in itself,) but that the lead character in a romantic comedy was specifically written as Asian.

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is available on Netflix now.
