Leigh Bardugo, author of Six of Crows, has just signed a deal with Random House to write a new adult series.

Leigh Bardugo, the author of The Grisha trilogy and Six of Crows duology, has just signed a deal with Random House for her first adult series. The new series is about a 20-year-old girl named Alex Stern who is given a second chance at her higher education. The first book in the series, Ninth House, follows Alex’s freshman year, in which she ends up following the actions of Yale University’s secret societies.

Leigh Bardugo, a Yale alum, states, “This story has been haunting me since I first set foot in New Haven almost twenty years ago.” While we don’t know much about the series or its characters besides what the synopsis and Bardugo tell us, Ninth House promises to be a thrilling and entertaining ride from start to finish.

About the Book:

The new series centers on Alex Stern, a 20-year-old California high school dropout with a criminal past who is mysteriously offered a second chance as a Yale University freshman. Ninth House, the first book, follows Stern’s freshman year, where she is charged with monitoring Yale’s secret societies, who engage in sinister occult activities.
