Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick have released the official track of the cover to Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors.” They first sung an acoustic version earlier this year at the Cannes Film festival.

The song will be included in the soundtrack to Timberlake and Kendrick’s upcoming animated musical film, Trolls. The new Dreamworks film is based on the colorful dolls from many of our childhoods and follows two trolls’ quest to save their town from destruction by the evil Bergens. Timberlake plays a grumpy gray survivalist and Kendrick stars opposite as Poppy, the bubbly pink troll who is queen of their village.

“The trolls are the happiest creatures in the world. They have been living in peace and safety for 20 years…[Poppy has] been a slightly irresponsible leader in that she has made no safety precautions against [monsters called] the Bergens. I seek out Branch to help me rescue my friends, and he doesn’t want to. So I decide to go on my own, but I leave him surrounded by all the happiest trolls and figure he’s going to choose the death-defying adventure over staying with a bunch of happy trolls.” –Anna Kendrick to EW

Timberlake is the film’s executive music producer and “True Colors” is just one of the famed contributions to the soundtrack. I can’t wait to hear the whole soundtrack, but in the meantime listen to “True Colors” below:

Trolls hits theaters November 4, 2016.
