Marc Forster will be directing the live-action CHRISTOPHER ROBIN movie, which seeks to bring us an emotional journey.

Disney has found a director in The Kite Runner‘s Marc Forster for its live-action Winnie the Pooh-based movie titled Christopher Robin.

Indie writer Alex Ross Perry (Listen Up Philip) is writing the script while producer Brigham Taylor (The Jungle Book) will produce.

Read the synopsis for the film:

The story centers on Robin, the adult version of the boy who in the A.A. Milne books shares his adventures with the animals of the Hundred Acre Wood. Robin has grown out of the joyful imagination he had as a young boy and is now a businessman who prioritizes work over his wife and daughter. With his home life on the brink, the last thing his life needs is the return of Pooh, who needs his help in finding his friends again. Robin has to find a way to help both sides or risk losing everything he holds dear.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney plans on giving it “strong elements of magical realism” into what’s sure to be an emotional journey that will tug at the childhood nostalgia in all of our cold, adult hearts.

This should be fun!
