Marvel gets tougher than ever in new key art for LUKE CAGE!

Marvel’s upcoming Netflix series Luke Cage isn’t all about brawn, but showing off a few rippling muscles never hurt!

The new Comic-Con key art poster for Luke Cage, which will follow the ongoing adventures of the Harlem hero with super strength and impenetrable skin as he tries to break down crime in his neighborhood, hit the Internet this morning. Designed of Marvel Entertainment’s Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada, the poster features the title character barely his massive muscles and looking tough.

“There’s always great pressure with superhero posters,” Quesada told TV Insider. “You’ve got one shot to encapsulate a character with a pose that’s provocative and that you hope will someday be iconic.”

He also said that actor Mike Colter gives the character “smoldering strength” that he tried to capture in the promo image. Fans attending San Diego Comic-Con will be able to pick up their own copy at the Marvel booth.

Luke Cage premieres on Netflix on September 30, 2016.
