Clever YA horror ANNA DRESSED IN BLOOD adaptation finds its Cas and Anna!

Kendra Blake’s Anna Dressed In Blood is officially set to come to the big screen with the help of Twilight author Stephanie Meyer!

Meyer-owned production company Fickle Fish Films is set to adapt the novel with director Trish Sie (Step Up: All In), based on a screenplay by Allison Wood and yesterday, they announced the two leads for the project.

Cameron Monaghan (Gotham, Shameless) will play Cas Lowood, the extreme ghost hunter who uses magic to kill the spirits of the dead. He’ll be joined by Maddie Hasson (Twisted, I Saw The Light), who will play Cas’ biggest challenge yet: A vengeful ghost named Anna who has killed every person she’s interacted with since her death in 1958. But when Anna unexpectedly spares Cas’ life, they realize that they may be able to work together to break the devastating curses surrounding their pasts and futures.

“We literally searched the world for over a year to find the perfect actors to bring this genre-spanning story to life. Cameron and Maddie, both so talented individually, together have that rare and extraordinary chemistry that lights up the screen,” Meyer told Variety.

Stephanie Meyer and co-producer Meghan Hibbett first optioned Anna Dressed In Blood and its sequel, Girl of Nightmares, in 2013.

No word yet on when the film will be released, but we’ll keep you updated!
