Marie Lu to write a 4th book for her LEGEND series

Under a new book deal with Roaring Brook Press, Marie Lu will also be writing a new science fiction-fantasy series.

We thought we’d seen the last of June and Day, but that is no longer the case as Legend trilogy author Marie Lu has agreed to write a new book for the series for Roaring Brook Press, a publisher under Macmillan. From what we can gather from The Washington Post article, the fourth book takes place 10 years after the end of Champion, the third book, and it may focus more on Day’s younger brother, Eden Bataar Wing.

It makes sense that the focus would transfer to Eden since it does take place 10 years later, and by then Day and June will be adults. Nothing else has been revealed about the storyline, so we don’t know how much of the original main characters will be in it, but there’s no reason to think that Marie won’t include them significantly in this book, given how loved they are.

The book deal also includes a two-book series, this time a science fiction/fantasy series titled Skyhunter. Nothing has been revealed about that one yet, as that probably won’t likely be scheduled for release until 2020.

The untitled 4th Legend book is scheduled for a Fall 2019 release.
