Marie Lu to mix sci-fi, gaming culture, and action in WARCROSS series!
Marie Lu, the best-selling author behind the Legend and The Young Elites series, has announced another action-filled series coming soon! This one will blend together the author’s love for science fiction with another big obsession of hers: Gaming.
From Entertainment Weekly:
Warcross, according to the publisher, will follow two teenage bounty hunters who are “hired by a young billionaire to catch a hacker in the world’s most phenomenally popular virtual reality video game.”
Before debuting as an author, Marie Lu was an art director for a video game company and worked at Disney on their video game projects before that.
In the official release for the book, Marie Lu said “Warcross is very much a love letter to all my favorite things. I am having the most deliriously awesome time working on this new project, and I hope that both past and new readers will enjoy reading this as much as I’m enjoying writing it.”

The first Warcross book is due out in Fall 2017. However, The Midnight Star, the final book in Lu’s The Young Elites series hits shelves on October 11, 2016.
