RENEGADES is the next book for Lunar Chronicles author Marissa Meyer, and it’s a standalone that aims to pack a punch.
Marissa Meyer, who completed her Lunar Chronicles series with the graphic novel Wires and Nerves, has just announced her next book and it’s not a series. Renegades is the title and here’s the overview:
She wants vengeance. He wants justice.
The Renegades are a syndicate of prodigies—humans with extraordinary abilities—who emerged from the ruins of a crumbled society and established peace and order where chaos reigned. As champions of justice, they remain a symbol of hope and courage to everyone…except the villains they once overthrew.
Nova has a reason to hate the Renegades, and she is on a mission for vengeance. As she gets closer to her target, she meets Adrian, a Renegade boy who believes in justice—and in Nova. But Nova’s allegiance is to a villain who has the power to end them both.
According to Marissa, this was intended to be the first book of a series called the Gatlon trilogy, however, life happened (possibly in the form of two little precious babies) that prevented her from expanding it to an extended commitment of writing and deadlines. Though we’re just speculating and can’t speak for her on the exact reasons why it’s only one.
Nevertheless, it’s always exciting to know that one of our favorite authors has a new book coming, and you can pre-order it now.
