SUPERNATURAL’s Latest Actor To Exit Says Goodbye

A SUPERNATURAL death appears permanent this time as one actor says goodbye.

On a television show like Supernatural filled with angels, demons, and their war on Earth, it’s pretty common for a character to die and come back to life shortly thereafter. However, there’s one actor on the show whose recent death will be a bit more permanent.

The Season 12 finale saw both Castiel (Misha Collins) and Crowley (Mark Sheppard) being stabbed by an angel blade– Castiel in an attack from Lucifer, Crowley as a massive sacrifice meant to trap Lucifer in a different dimension. While there’s still hope for a likely recovery from Castiel, it seems Crowley has sung his swan song.

Mark Sheppard took to Instagram last night to thanks the SPN family for “the ride” and says it’s “time for something new.”

Crowley made his first appearance midway through Season 5 of the show and has been a clever, morally ambiguous part of the show’s DNA ever since.

Supernatural will continue on with Season 13 this fall, with will include an animated Scooby-Doo crossover episode. As of Season 12, the show is the longest running program in The CW’s history.
