Marvel’s RUNAWAYS Gets Full Series Order, Plus New Footage

See the stars of RUNAWAYS discover a horrible secret in the first show footage!

Last August, Hulu and Marvel announced that they were developing a TV series based on the popular Runaways comics. Now, the show has officially come to fruition and the first teaser has found its way online, albeit through unconventional means.

Gregg Sulkin (Faking It) , Rhenzy Feliz (Casual), Lyrica Okano (The Affair), Virginia Gardner (The Goldbergs), Ariela Barer (One Day At A Time reboot), and Allegra Acosta (100 Things To Do Before High School) star as six very different teens who team up upon discovering that their parents are supervillains. The show was written by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the minds behind The O.C. and Gossip Girl.

Runaways has been approved for a full series order, Hulu announced at its Upfronts event yesterday, according to Variety. They also showed a preview of the show, which hasn’t been officially released to the public, but one audience member leaked it online.

The series is due to air starting in 2018, though an official release date has not been announced.
