Marvel’s INHUMANS have cast ‘Hell On Wheels’ actor, Anson Mount, as Black Bolt!
The list for Marvel’s Inhumans TV show grows ever more. This time the leading role of Black Bolt has been announced and will be played by actor Anson Mount. He played the leading role of Cullen Bohannon on AMC’s ‘Hell On Wheels.’
Black Bolt is described as “an enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city.” Head of Marvel television Jeph Loeb states, he’s “a character whose deep complexity must be conveyed without uttering a single word.” Making Anson Mount a perfect candidate.
Mount joins Game of Thrones actor Iwan Rheon who will play Maximus, Black Bolt’s younger brother.
“Anson loves the challenge of playing a character who will only communicate silently,” said Loeb, Head of Marvel Television. “His enthusiasm mixed with his imposing, almost regal persona made it easy to see why he is our Black Bolt.”
Inhumans will play in IMAX theaters two weeks before its network run in September.
