MAZE RUNNER: THE DEATH CURE to get an Official Graphic Novel Prelude

Boom! Studios to release another graphic novel prelude in the Maze Runner world, set between the second and third movies.

If you liked the official graphic novel prelude for Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, then you’ll going to love this one for Maze Runner: The Death Cure! This latest graphic novel sets up the story that happens between the movies The Scorch Trials and The Death Cure.

Here are the synopsis points:

  • They used to live and die by the Maze—a seemingly endless labyrinth of deathtraps that kept the Gladers prisoner and in fear. But the day Thomas arrived, he motivated them all to push back…and escape.
  • But what they discovered was far worse than any maze—a world scorched by disease and controlled by the oppressive organization, Wicked. Thomas, aided by a band of rebels, now readies to take the fight right to Wicked’s doorstep in the hope of finding a cure for the plague that’s ravaging mankind.
  • The events in this all-new, authorized graphic novel take place between 20th Century Fox’s second Maze Runner film, The Scorch Trials, and the upcoming third film, The Death Cure, which are based on the best-selling YA fantasy novels by James Dashner.

The graphic novel will hit comic shops on November 1st, with a general pop release to bookstores on November 7th.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure movie has been scheduled for a February 9, 2018 release.
