The third and final movie of The Maze Runner series, The Death Cure, will resume production February 2017.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure has a restart production date of February 2017, with a scheduled release date of January 2018.  The production basically will resume almost one year after the accident that caused serious injury to star Dylan O’Brien.

According to Deadline, O’Brien had fracture on either one of his cheekbones or eye sockets, which happened during a stunt sequence.

The original plan was to resume production in early May.  However, it was postponed even further so that the Teen Wolf star could recover properly.  As disappointing as it was for everyone to delay, it was a smart decision.

Production will restart in Vancouver, British Columbia.

No word on whether O’Brien will continue to do his own stunts.
