MAZE RUNNER: THE SCORCH TRIALS trailer shown at CinemaCon

Those lucky enough to get in CinemaCon in Las Vegas got a chance to see trailers for several upcoming movies, including the Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials trailer, and apparently, it did not disappoint.

When we do finally get to see the trailer ourselves, we’ll get to see Game of Thrones‘ Aidan Gillen in the role of Janson, aka Rat-man (if you’ve read the books), a member of WCKD, the organization responsible for putting the boys in the Maze.  In it, Janson tries to recruit Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) to participate in another trial, of course, but Thomas and the rest of the group decide to run instead.

The trailer also showed jaw-droppingly gorgeous images of the massive Scorch itself, which is actually just the solar-flared ruins of a major modern city. We also got to see a bunch of humans (Gladers?) being brutally strung upside down by WCKD, a mysterious group of survivors from other mazes, like Jacob Lofland as Aris Jones, “Breaking Bad” star Giancarlo Esposito as a “crank” named Jorge, and a steamy kiss between Thomas and Teresa (Kaya Scodelario).

Well, that sounds pretty freakin’ awesome.  Although we already know some changes are expected, I’m actually curious to see it all play out.  It would be nice to actually see the trailer for ourselves as the movie’s release date is already less than five months away.
