HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD reintroduces you to the Granger-Weasley family!

Yesterday, we met Harry, Ginny, and Albus Potter as they’ll appear in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Today, it’s time to meet the Granger-Weasley family!

Hermione (Noma Dumezweni) is looking clever and professional in a tailored wizarding suit, perfect for her job in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

“I saw Noma workshop the part and when John Tiffany told me he’d cast her, I was overjoyed. She gets Hermione inside out,” said JK Rowling in a statement along with the photos’ release.

Meanwhile, Ron (Paul Thornley) isn’t give up his casual style, despite being an Auror. He’s still rocking is Chudley Cannons orange, along with a mismatched scarf that scream of his loving but chaotic Weasley upbringing.

“Ron in his forties isn’t very different from Ron in his teens, except that his feet hurt a bit more,” promises Rowling. “Paul’s so funny and brilliant in the role.”

And their daughter, Rose (Cherrelle Skeete)? The cutest! She’s all smiles and charm. And is that some yellow striping we see on her robe?!

Of her new character, Rowling said “Rose is like her mother, but more secure, more grounded. She was born to wizards and knows her place in the world. Cherrelle plays her perfectly: bossy but deeply loveable.”

Missing from the action is Ron and Hermione’s son / Rose’s little brother, Hugo, who is not yet a Hogwarts student at the time of this story– though that doesn’t necessarily mean we won’t see him at all.

Previews for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child begin in just 6 days in London’s West End. Get more information on the play and buy your tickets here.
