Mia Goth talks about her character in A CURE FOR WELLNESS and what it was like working in that tub.

A Cure for Wellness is out now in theaters, and if you’re into a gothic or macabre-type film, you might want to take a look at this movie. Mia Goth is in the movie and plays the mysterious young girl, Hannah, who makes a connection with Lockhart (Dane DeHaan.)

For some viewers, her character is quite an enthralling character, and it adds to the intrigue to the story as she’s the youngest person at the wellness facility in which Lockhart visits. We see her react and change both emotionally and physically, in a sense. In a recent interview with her, when asked about creating Hannah, Goth did find a connection with the character, stating that she was able to find a lot of parallels with her between her life and my life, and having to go from girlhood to womanhood was one of them. It’s quite a journey for her, and at times it’s thrilling. At times it’s terrifying. At times exciting, and sometimes painful. That’s something I really connected with.”

She also stated that Hannah’s got a very unique world view because she’s been so sheltered, and so the way she sees things and people and and herself is quite peculiar.” For those who’ve seen the film, it’s definitely something they wanted to emphasize about Hannah.

As far as any challenges for her, we did talk about that bathtub scene in which Hannah is found in a tub full of live eels by Lockhart. It should be noted that, if you were wondering, those eels were one-hundred percent digitized. However, it was still a challenge for Goth in a different way.

“…they did make a cast of my body and I had to be in this odd position for, like, four hours and I couldn’t move or twitch my nose, and so they put GOod Will Hunting on, and I was able to drink Coca-Cola through a straw, and I just couldn’t move. Then I took the cast off and I had these massive rashes all over my body.”

Mia Goth is also starring in the re-imagined movie, Suspiria, which is to be directed by Luca Guadagnino. She’ll be playing Sara, a fellow dancer who main protagonist Susie befriends. When asked about the movie, she admitted she isn’t able to give much info, but people are going to be really and pleasantly surprised to realize that it’s really not a remake at all. I think people are going to be really shocked. We really do take it to a completely different place,” adding that “I think it’s going to be visually stunning.”

Mia Goth can also be seen in the 2015 feature film Everest, which is based on a true story of the 1996 Mount Everest disaster in which eight people died .
