MOANA: Watch Alan Tudyk’s Heihei Recording Session

Watch some hilarious MOANA voiceover in a new behind the scenes snippet!

Disney’s new Polynesian princess Moana is a singular young woman, but she’s got some odd companions. One of them is Heihei, a not-so-bright rooster whose crowing and squawking make quite the impression. What you may not know is that Heihei is voiced by none other than Alan Tudyk!

Besides being a star on shows like Firefly, Dollhouse, and the new show Con Man, Alan Tudyk is an wildly accomplished voice actor who may be a lucky charm for recent Disney animated hits: He was King Candy in Wreck-It Ralph, The Duke of Weselton in Frozen, Alistair Krei in Big Hero 6, and Duke Weaselton in Zootopia.

Now he’s a rooster!

Check out this short but very amusing video from Walt Disney Animation Studios of Alan Tudyk taking on Heihei’s– voice? ummm.. noises?– in full force!

Moana hits theaters on November 23, 2016.
