Back in November, AMC announced that longtime recurring The Walking Dead character Morgan (Lennie James) would be crossing over to spinoff show Fear The Walking Dead. Now, we’re getting a quick first look at the character in his new location!
In a seconds-long teaser, Morgan is seen running with his trusty stick in hand. Via voiceover, he announces “I lose people, and then I lose myself.”
Fear The Walking Dead is due to undergo a time jump, though the exact length of time remains to be seen. Morgan’s stick appears unsharpened, which suggests the show will follow them during his era as a pacifist between Seasons 3 and 5, instead of in The Walking Dead‘s present day.

Fear The Walking Dead Season 4 premieres on AMC on Sunday, April 15, 2018, immediately following the Season 8 finale of The Walking Dead.
