Mutants Go To War In X-MEN: APOCALYSE Trailer Packed With New Footage

Special powers and effects take center stage in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE trailer!

It’s mutant-on-mutant carnage in the devastating new trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse!

The trailer shows Apocalypse’s origin, the formation of his “four horsemen,” and the sheer destruction that occurs when mutants go to war. We’re also catching up with the once young and untrained mutants who seem to be leading the new generation this time around, including Mystique, Beast, Banshee, and Quiksilver.

Surprisingly, this trailer is more new footage than not, particularly for the brutal fight scenes. It looks like effects for the film have finally been completed and Bryan Singer is ready to show them off!

We’re definitely getting a better feel for the new characters this time around and if this doesn’t quite get you hyped for the movie, perhaps nothing will!

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27, 2016.

Official Synopsis:

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
