Chronicles of Narnia Will Be Revived With THE SILVER CHAIR

C.S Lewis’s THE SILVER CHAIR will finally be adapted into a movie with script by “Life of Pi” scribe David Magee!

There’s a new Chronicles of Narnia movie headed our way! TriStar Pictures, which is a Mark Gordon company, has agreed to finance this new upcoming adaptation of The Silver Chair by C.S Lewis, author of the Narnia chronicles.

This new adaptation will occur after the happenings of the previous movie, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. We witnessed Prince Caspian grow into a king, and now will watch the story of his son on screen. Caspian’s son goes missing, which leads to Aslan finding Eustace Scrubb and Jill Pope, who then begin the search for the lost heir.

The Silver Chair will be penned by David McGee, who also played a role in the book to movie adaptations of Life of Pi and Finding Neverland.

The Mark Gordon Company will work with the C.S. Lewis Company to develop and produce the film. “Developing this project with The C.S. Lewis Company has been immensely exciting and a real joy,” Gordon has said.
The Chronicles of Narnia franchise is based off the books authored by C.S Lewis. The first movie, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, was debuted in 2005. It was followed by Prince Caspian, released in 2008, and then Voyage of the Dawn Treader in 2010.
