See a GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 scene that was left on the cutting room floor!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is still two weeks away from hitting theaters, but actor Nathan Fillion is already showing off a deleted scene that was filmed for the movie.

Back in April 2016, set photos showed fans that Nathan Fillion would be playing the Marvel universe’s superhero-turned-superstar-actor, Simon Williams, in the movie. However, a new Instagram post suggests that Simon’s role in the film has been left on the cutting room floor.

The photo shows Fillion with long, flowing hair in a strange fur outfit, piloting a spaceship. Since we know his character is an actor, this appears to be a movie clip shown within the movie.

Though the cameo may have been cut, there’s still a chance we’ll see Nathan Fillion’s face on the movie posters included in the set last April.

The actor did have small cameo in the original Guardians of the Galaxy, voicing a blue-skinned alien in The Kyln prison who taunts Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket, and Groot upon their arrival.

Fillion is a friend of director James Gunn so hey, there’s always hope for a cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy 3!

Guardians Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5, 2017.
