POWERLESS gets comics-style poster just in time for Comic-Con!
If you’ve ever felt like the only normal person in a world full of superheroes, you’re not the only one. DC Comics’ new NBC comedy Powerless focuses in on characters trying to live a regular life in a superhero-charged world.
The show will follow the employees at the cheekily-named RetCon Insurance Co. who specialize in insurance claims for normal folks affected by superhero battles in their major city. Vanessa Hudgens stars as Emily, an insurance adjuster who gains some serious notoriety when she tells off a superhero whose antics affect her morning commute.
Ron Funches also stars as an IT department member at RetCon named Ron, who is perhaps the only person in the office who still appreciates the awesomeness of superheroes. Alan Tudyk, Danny Pudi and Christina Kirk round out the main cast, but the details about their characters have not been released yet.
Just before the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel, check out new promo art that will be distributed at the convention.
Powerless will premiere sometime this winter on NBC. More details are expected at Comic-Con.
