YA romance THE KISSING BOOTH is being adapted by Netflix!

It’s the dream of many a Wattpad contributor, but for Beth Reekles, it became a reality: The then 15-year-old writer’s novel The Kissing Booth earned so much love online that Penguin Random House brought her on board for a publishing deal and official book release. Now at age 21, Reekles will see her debut novel get a movie adaptation!

Netflix will adapt The Kissing Booth for the platform with Komixx Media and director/screenwriter Vince Marcello, according to Deadline.

The Kissing Booth follows Elle Evans, a notorious party girl who secretly has never even been kissed. That is, until she finds herself in a carnival kissing booth with her best friend’s brother and long-time crush, Noah. Soon rumors fly as Elle finds herself caught her with a new beau, which could lead to huge trouble.

Netflix did not announce when the movie adaptation would be released and the cast has yet to be cemented.

You can pick up the book now via Amazon.
