Narnia is coming back in multiple formats after a major media deal!
The vast and varied world of C.S. Lewis‘ The Chronicles of Narnia is headed back to the screen thanks to Netflix!
In a new deal between the streaming giant and The C.S. Lewis Company, the service will develop stories from across the Narnia lexicon as movies and TV series, according to Variety.
“C.S. Lewis’ beloved ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ stories have resonated with generations of readers around the world. Families have fallen in love with characters like Aslan and the entire world of Narnia, and we’re thrilled to be their home for years to come,” Netflix’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos said in a statement.
Notably, this deal marks the first time that any one studio has had unrestricted access to all seven books in Lewis’ collection, meaning they can open these adaptations up as much as they’d like.
These adaptations are still in the early stages and no further details are available at this time. Stay tuned!
