Mia Corvere has come for us all.
The first episode of Nevernight, the new web series based on the popular novels by Jay Kristoff, hit YouTube this morning. The series stars Piera Forde as 18-year-old Mia Corvere, a novice assassin in a dark fantasy world on a deadly revenge mission.
As bloody as it is sexual, Nevernight is a departure into new adult/adult territory for author Jay Kristoff, who is largely known for his YA novels. As such, please note that this web series is NSFW. If you’re in the right environment, the first episode is at the top of the post and ready for you to watch!
As a proof-of-concept series launched in association with Screen Australia, the three episodes are meant to prove the interest in and adaptability of the source material for a full series. Consider it like an extended pilot– one that will cover the first quarter of the book over three episodes.
Episode 1 follows Mia as she takes two important steps in her life: Her first kill and her first sexual experience, intertwined to show the beauty and the gruesomeness of both. So far, it has over 20k views and seems to be getting high praise across the board– which is damn near impossible on the internet these days.

The episodes are dropping every other day at midnight in Australia, so in the US, Episode 2 of Nevernight will drop on December 3rd and Episode 3 will follow on December 5th.
