New DOCTOR STRANGE Synopsis explains superhero’s purpose

Doctor Strange synopsis gets a rewrite that includes Stephen Strange’s origin story and his purpose in the MCU.

Marvel has released a new Doctor Strange synopsis for the fourteenth installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie will be a special kind of excitement for some Marvel fans because, according to ComicBook.com, it will be “introducing new metaphysical concepts, such as alternate dimensions and arcane forces, into the shared superhero film universe.”

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.

Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) in the title role, Chiwetal Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One, Benedict Wong as Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg as Nicodemus West, Rachel McAdams as a surgeon who somewhat helps Strange hold onto his humanity, and Mads Mikkelson as an undisclosed villain.
